Kingdom Law II-207

1. There shall exist within the Kingdom of Meridies, hereinafter referred to as Meridies, an order to which the Sovereign and Consort may elect those person who have served Meridies with longtime excellence, quality, and chivalry in the fulfillment of duties of a martial nature. These individuals will have sown outstanding skil and accomplishment in the Martial Arts and will have imparted those skils to the populace of Meridies by regular teaching and sharing of ability in their particular spcialty, and will have distinguished themseleves in war, on the tournament field, and in the training of new fighters. This Order shall be called the Order of the Sable Sword, herinafter referred to as the Order.

3. Memebers of the order shall be allowed to display and use the badge of the Order and place the initials C.S.Q. after their name in crecognition as a Companion of the Sable Quill.
4. Memebers are encouraged to continue to write, publish, disseminate, and contribute to Seasons, R.U.M. archives, and Tournaments Illuminated.
   1. The Crown may call upon recipients to aid in the contiuning education of the Kingdom by requesting, as a patron, specific articles and/or reseach in the areas of expertise of the recipients.
5. The award shall be given only once per reign.
